On Thursday night the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Winston Lane for a reported chimney fire. 14-1-2 was the first unit on scene and reported a working chimney fire. When units arrived on scene one team laddered the roof while the other team went inside and emptied the fire place. Units then cleared the chimney and checked for extension, and when none was found units vented the house and checked CO levels before returning to service.
