At about 6:30pm Sunday evening New York State police recieve reports that a person had jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge span. Marine units from Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties were dispatched to the scene to begin searching for the victim. The search was suspended for the night around 8:30pm and resumed the following morning.
