Kitchen Fire, Highland Drive

March 26, 2017

On Sunday morning at around 10:40 am the Continental Village fire department was dispatched to a residence on Highland Drive for a reported Structure Fire. Upon arrival units found smoke showing from the residence and immediately stretched a 1 3/4 hand line to the front door. Units were met by the front door by the homeowners who said that they had used a fire extinguisher on the fire after they called 911. Firefighters entered the structure with the hose line and put the remainder of the fire out and checked for extension. After the fire was completely extinguished and there was found to be limited extension firefighters vented the house of excess smoke and made sure there were no CO readings before letting the homeowners beck in their house. Fire units were on scene for about a hour before returning to service.
