On Saturday afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to Camp Smith for a reported brush fire. Once on scene firefighters found a brush fire covering about an acre of land. Firefighter quickly created a fire break around the burning area a knocked down all the visible fire. Firefighters then spent about a hour hitting hot spots until it was determined that the fire was out.
