Today at 1pm Firefighters and EMTs from Continental Village Fire and Peekskill Ambulance responded to reports of a head on crash between an SUV and a dump truck. When responders arrived on scene they found the driver of the SUV had self-extricated himself from his vehicle and had minor injuries despite extensive damage. Firefighters then began containment and cleanup of the approximatly 100 gallons of diesel fuel in the trucks tanks that was leaking onto to the roadway. State DOT was requested as well to help clean up a large oil slick that had been left on the road from a previous incident.
