On Sunday Evening the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Albany Post Road for a Activated CO Alarm. After evacuating the residence from the house firefighters entered with gas meters to check for CO and found elevated readings. Firefighters quickly found the source to be the furnace and shut power to it off. Firefighters then proceeded to ventilate the house until there were no readings before clearing the scene.
