On Sunday night just before midnight the Continental Village Fire Department along with the Yorktown Dive Team and Peekskill EMS were dispatched to a report of a possible jumper on the Bear Mountain Bridge. Firefighters responded to the Bridge while other CVFD units along with the Yorktown Dive Team headed to the Peekskill riverfront to launch the boats. Upon arrival additional marine units from Verplank and Stony Point were requested to the scene. After the police units reviewed the security cameras and a search, it was concluded that no one had jumped from the bridge. All units were put back in service around 1:30 am Monday morning.
