On Saturday at around 6:00pm the Continental Village, Garrison, Cold Spring, North Highlands, and Putnam Valley Fire Departments along with EMS and rehab units from Garrison, Phillipstown, Putnam Valley, Peekskill, Cortlandt, and Kent were requested to respond to or go on standby for a Mass Casualty Incident at the Garrison Train Station. On arrival Emergency responders were informed of a rock slide that damaged the tracks and forced Metro-North to shut down service between Peekskill and Garrison. However, nearly 700 passengers had to be evacuated from trains and be bussed to the next station. Responders aided MTA workers and Police in handing out water and directing people to buses. Units were put back in service at around 8:30pm
