October 20, 2014

On Monday night at around 11:30PM the Continental Village Fire Department along with Peekskill VAC were dispatched to the Bear Mountain Bridge Road for a report of a MVA with injuries. Upon arrival units found that a car traveling towards the bridge had struck the rock face with its passenger side and then went across the road and slammed head on into the stone safety wall with such force that it cracked and shifted the wall in several places. The driver was transported to the hospital by Peekskill VAC and FD units contained the leaking fluids and directed traffic until the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
