On Monday afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department, as well as Garrison Fire and Ambulance, were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on RT.403 in the area of Foxfire Ln. On arrival units found a vehicle that had lost control and hit a telephone pole sideways, pinning the driver inside the car. Firefighters got to work cutting the roof off the car while EMS personnel stabilized the driver. Once the roof was removed and the driver was unpinned from the car ems personnel readied them for transport while firefighters controlled traffic until the roadway was cleared.
