Mutual-Aid Structure Fire, City Of Peekskill

March 4, 2015

On Wednesday evening the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to relocate one engine to the city of Peekskill for a stand-by while they were operating at a structure fire. While enroute engine 231 was redirected to respond to the scene. Once on scene firefighters hit a hydrant at the intersection of South Division Street and Brown Street. Firefighters were then instructed to stretch a handline to the roof of an adjoining building and assist the Peekskill firefighters already there with fighting the fire. Firefighters also assisted with venting and opening up the roof so that Peekskill's Tower Ladder could wet the attic area down. CVFD returned to service several hours later after the fire was out.
