On Wednesday evening the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house on fire on Putnam road in the Westchester side of the village. On arrival units discovered a medium sized kitchen fire that had started on the stove and extended to the cabinets above. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down and began checking for extension. Units remained on location until Cause and Origin finished their investigation.
