On Tuesday Evening in place of weekly drill the Continental Village Fire Department accepted the Delivery of our new 2015 Spartan Metro Star/Marion Body Works Rescue. The New 14-6-1/Rescue 39 seats 6 firefighters, has plenty of storage for a wide range of rescue equipment (including compartments on the roof) and carries a newer Cascade system for filling air packs for firefighters. Additionaly, the new Rescue will have the Jaws of life located in the bumper for rapid deployment and come equipped with a 500 GPM Pump and 500 gallon water tank for rapid suppression of vehicle fires. The new rescue will spend the next few weeks being equipped and readied before it is placed into service.
