On Friday evening the Continental Village Fire Department responded to a tanker request from the Mohegan Fire Department, who were operating at a large brush fire in a non-hydrant area off of Lexington Avenue. On arrival firefighters went to work feeding engine 252 with water and helping knock down fire in the woods. the fire was quickly taken care of and units were back in service after about 2 and a half hours.
