Brush Fire, Roa Hook Road

On Saturday Afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Roa Hook Road for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival units found a fast moving brush fire that had originated from workers cutting rebar at the edge of a vehicle storage area. The sparks caught grass on fire and it spread into the dense vegetation and was moving up a hill when Fire units arrived on scene. Utilizing the master stream on Engine 231 firefighters were able to knock down the bulk of the fire and and additional firefighters were able to put out the hot spots with a hoseline off of Mini Attack 4.
