On Saturday the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to the Bear Mountain Bridge Road in the area of the overlook for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival units found a brush fire burning on the hill below the overlook, access was made difficult due to the steep terrain. Fort Montgomery FD was requested for a Tanker for additional water and a rescue with rope equipment as a precaution.
