On Wednesday evening at around 5:30 the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Camp Smith for a reported brush fire. After some investigation units found the fire well off one of the service roads in a area being used for training. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and then hit hot spots. Peekskill VAC's rehab unit was brought in to stand by for firefighters operating in the woods and all units cleared around 8PM
