On Sunday night the Continental Village Fire Department along with Peekskill VAC and Cortlandt Medics were dispatched to the Bear Mountain Bridge for a reported MVA With Extrication. Upon arrival units found a SUV had failed to navigate the turn to exit the bridge and went head on into the wall pinning the injured driver in the vehicle. Fire units went to work quickly to open the driver door and remove the driver side rear door. The Driver was then removed from the vehicle and transported to the area Trauma center. Fire Unites Returned to service after the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
