On Thursday afternoon the Continental Village FD was dispatched for a reported car fire on Sprout Brook Road. When the chief arrived on scene he found a fully involved car fire that was starting to extend into the brush around it, as a precaution he requested a Engine from Putnam Valley be added to the the assignment. Once firefighters arrived on scene they went to work quickly extinguishing the fire.
