On Tuesday afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department and Peekskill VAC were dispatched to a MVA with injuries on Route 9 just North of South Mountain Pass. Upon arrival units found a vehicle traveling southbound had left the roadway and struck a telephone pole causing significant damage to both the pole and car. While in in route units were notified of a second MVA at Route 9 and Jack Road. Peekskill Fire was requested to handle the second MVA while Garrison VAC was requested as well. Due to the heavy volume of traffic Garrison FD was requested to close Route 9 South bound at Route 403. The roadway was reopened after all the vehicles from both accidents were removed from the roadway.
