On Thursday morning shortly after 2am the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched Mutual Aid to the City of Peekskill to standby while Peekskill FD units operated at a structure fire. While at Peekskill Headquarters, the assignment was upgraded to a 2nd alarm fire, Engine 231 was then dispatched to redirect to Frost Ln & Lindbergh Pl to set up a supply line stretching from a hydrant to across the Bear Mountain Parkway to Montrose's Tower Ladder 8 and aid with water supply at the scene of the fire. Engine 231 continued to relay pump until the fire was stabilized and under control. Units returned to service shortly after 8am... Then around 10am CVFD was dispatched once again with Tanker 11 to aid with Tanker operations and water supply at the scene while Peekskill units continued to overhaul and find hot spots. Units remained on scene until all hot spots were hit and under control. Units returned to service after 3pm.
