On Thursday morning, the Continental Village Fire Department responded to a report of wires down and a brush fire at Bird Lane. Upon arrival, firefighters found wires touching a tree causing a small fire. Central Hudson cut power to the wire and a tree company removed the tree before firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
