On Thursday evening the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatch along with Peekskill VAC for a reported MVA Head On with Injuries. While units were enroute they were updated that one of the vehicles was now on fire. Upon arrival firefighters found that both vehicles were now fully involved and the fire was spreading down the road from fuel leaking from the vehicles. Firefighters from Continental Village and Peekskill went to work trying to extinguish the car fires but where hampered by the fuel leaks that would reignite the vehicles again and again. Tankers were brought in from Fort Montgomery and Stony Point due to there being no hydrants on the Bridge Road. Firefighters returned to service after the fires were extinguished and the roadway was cleared.
