| On Friday night, the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to assist Garrison Volunteer Ambulance Corps with a medical emergency on Old Albany Post Road. While at the scene, it was determined that the patient required air transport to Westchester Medical Center. Additional fire units were sent to the Sprout Brook Road Ball Field to set up a landing zone for the helicopter. Upon arrival, fire units coordinated a safe landing for the helicopter, which responded from Hackensack, New Jersey. Firefighters then assisted with loading the patient into the helicopter and remained on scene until it was safely airborne and en route to the hospital. |
