On Wednesday afternoon at around 1:30 The Continental Village Fire Department and Peekskill Ambulance were dispatched to Route 9 just north of the 123 Deli for a repot of a MVA with injuries car off the road. In addition Garrison Fire Department was dispatched to respond with 1 engine as is our new protocol for daytime MVAs on route 9 and in the Putnam County section of our district. Upon arrival units found a vehicle off the road with the driver complaining of severe back pain. Fire units assisted EMS with removing the patient from the vehicle and directed traffic. Fire units returned to service at around 2:30 after the vehicle was removed from the scene.
