On Monday morning at around 6AM The Continental Village Fire Dept. was dispatched for a report of smoke coming from a building. Upon arrival units found an active fire in high voltage a Switch gear building. Units immediately cordoned off the area and requested Con-Ed electric to the scene. Once Con-Ed arrived on scene they shut down power to the building extinguishing the fire. Firefighters then inspected the interior of the building for any hot spots or extension and returned to service when none were found.
