On Friday at around 11:40AM the Continental Village Volunteer Fire Department along with Garrison Fire, and Ambulance were dispatched to Route 9D for a report of an MVA with the vehicle on fire. Cold Spring Fire was then dispatched as well due to the proximity the call was to their district. Once units arrived on scene they found a vehicle off the road in the woods on fire. The driver was already out the car and was treated by Garrison Ambulance. Firefighters from Continental Village, Cold Spring, and Garrison immediately went to work and extinguished the fire in short time. Units remained on scene until the vehicle was removed from the woods.
