On Monday evening the Continental Village Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire next to a structure. On arrival units discovered that a low voltage walkway light had short-circuited, melting its wires and igniting the mulch around it. Firefighters shut power to the circuit and soaked the area with foam to prevent re ignition.
