Early Sunday morning, members of the CVFD responded to a report of a car that had crashed, caught fire, and possibly had an entrapped driver. Units worked quickly to extingush the fire which had fully engulfed the car and ruptured it's gas tank.
The driver of the vehicle was not present at the scene and is assumed to have fled prior to the arrival of firefighters and other first responders.
Units were back in service around 9am.
