On Monday night at approximately 8 p.m., the Continental Village Fire Department responded to a reported kitchen fire at a residence on Sprout Brook Road. Upon arrival, Car 2132 observed a neighbor using a garden hose to spray water through a broken window in the home's front door. On Tuesday night, February 3, members of the CVFD visited locations throughout the community to assist residents who were unable to clear snow from fire hydrants. NYS strongly urges all residents who are able to safely do so to clear at least three feet of snow from all sides of hydrants.
